The loud and somewhat irksome sound of construction work is really but a gentle hum in the ears of workers in Riverside. After a while you really do get used to it. Whether you’re on an important phone call, business meeting, nodding off during a break, or simply trying to enjoy your lunch you can always count on the familiar buzz of a sandblaster making itself known in the background. With so much going on downtown citizens can help but be excited that in about fifty years down the line they’re grandkids and/or great-grandkids might be enjoying a clean and beautiful city.
In the mean time of course we can keep up-to-date with a few of the cities post-its such as the posted signs on street corners letting us know that sometime in the distant future that designated area will not only be a project site, but a project completed. Keeping track of up and coming city hobbies is easy if you want to drive around for the aforementioned signs or look online for updates. Even creative firms in the Inland Empire can benefit from the perpetual ongoings of construction in its streets. Clearly, just about every city in the IE can hold this same title of chronic absence of growth, but after a while they each seem to blend into one malignant blend leaving its citizens proud to live secluded and uninvolved with the rest of the world.
