Halloween Ideas for a Fete to Remember

Numerous Halloween festivity ideas are unreasonable and have become a bit timeworn. Party hosts who want to rock things up should imagine outside the box and absorb on pop culture phenomenons that a few individuals are knowledgeable with but haven’t yet grown cliche. In that vein, may we advise resuscitating the schism between science and the Vatican for a night by making your own Angels and Demons themed Halloween festivity. Integrate some of the movie’s symbols with religious-themed red, black and white decorations, food and beverages, and entertain invitees with an Angels and Demons themed murder mystery game.

Though wine is the evident drink of choice for a Dionysian themed Halloween jubilation, take it a step farther by making a wine tasting and Greek god drinks for invitees to savour. If your budget allows, charter a wine waiter for the evening to teach guests about the wines they’re about to drink. To skip prices but keep the wine tasting, consult descriptions of the wines you plan on serving online. Do some enquiry to find out the small items that make each wine extraordinary, and print them up on a piece of paper. Affix the report to a card and put the card describing the wine in front of the bottle for the fete. Guests will still have a blast learning about the wine for a fraction of the cost of hiring a wine waiter. Be sure to do finger foods and fanciful Halloween treats to satisfy your invitees too.

In the 600’s A.D., November 1 was delegated by the Pope to be All Saints Day; a day to fete and honor Christian saints and martyrs. It is believed that Pope Boniface IV took November 1 as All Saints Day to supersede the pagan Samhain festival with a church-approved holiday. All Saints Day became famous as “All Hallows Day” credited to the Middle English word for it, which was ‘Alholowmesse.’ Thus, the night before All Hallows Day became identified as “All Hallow’s Eve”. The church eventually appointed November 2 as “All Souls’ Day,” a day to honor relatives who have died. During All Souls’ Day exhibits in England, “soul cakes” were given out to needy individuals in return for a promise that they would pray for dead relatives.
